Presented by Akanksha Srivastava, BDS, MSc, MDSc, FACP, FRCD(C), FAAMP Atrophic posterior maxilla and sinus pneumatization are challenging factors in the rehabilitation of edentulous maxillae. Pterygoid implants provide a graftless approach to maximizing anteroposterior spread of implants and avoiding distal cantilevers. Successful pterygoid implant-based rehabilitation involves technique sensitive surgical protocols and requires a thorough understanding of the pterygomaxillary anatomy. This webinar will provide an overview of the advantages, anatomic challenges, and surgical and prosthetic treatment planning for placement of pterygoid implants.
